Nigerian Army Recruitment 2025 Application Form Portal Out

Contrary to circulating rumours, the Nigerian Army is not currently recruiting. However, preparations for the upcoming 88 Regular Recruit Intake Exercise for Trades/Non-Trades Men and Women are in progress. The online registration process will begin soon, and interested candidates are encouraged to register on the official portal www.recruitment.army.mil.ng.

Is Nigerian Army Application Form Out in 2025?

As of now, the application form is not yet available. The previous recruitment exercise concluded on 8th November 2024, and no new announcements have been made for 2025. Nevertheless, prospective applicants should keep an eye out for updates, as this information will help you prepare for a successful application once the portal (recruitment.army.mil.ng) opens.

Nigerian Army Recruitment Requirements

Before applying, ensure you meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, single, and possess a valid National Identity Card, NIN slip, or BVN.
  • Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Army standards.
  • Must not have any criminal convictions.
  • At least four passes, including English Language, in not more than two sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB are required.
  • Tradesmen/Women must possess a Trade Test Certificate or Guild Certificate.
  • Non-trades candidates must be between 18 and 22 years, while trades candidates must not exceed 26 years as of 31st December 2024.
  • Minimum height is 1.68 metres for males and 1.65 metres for females.
  • A valid certificate of state of origin is mandatory.
  • No tattoos, body inscriptions, piercings, or affiliation with cults/fraternities are allowed.

How to Apply for Nigerian Army Recruitment 2025

Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Visit the recruitment portal: https://recruitment.army.mil.ng.
  2. Complete the application form and print it out.
  3. Download and fill out the Guarantor Form.
  4. Submit the completed application form and Guarantor Form at designated recruitment centres.

Multiple applications will result in disqualification. So be careful when submitting your application because you cannot submit another one. Now, it is VERY important to note that Nigerian Army application form is free. Avoid individuals or groups requesting payment for assistance.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified through the recruitment portal, and you will undergo a screening process at your state of origin.

Will there be Nigerian Army CBT Screening in 2025?

Reports reaching us is that the Nigerian Army has clarified that there will be no computer-based pre-selection test. All screening will be conducted physically at the venues within candidates’ states of origin. You are not to bring any electronic or recording devices to the venue. Avoid falsifying documents because all credentials will be verified with issuing authorities. Candidates found guilty of forgery will be handed over to law enforcement for prosecution.

Candidates must ensure they meet all requirements and provide authentic documents during the exercise. Those caught with fake results will face immediate withdrawal from training at the Depot Nigerian Army.
