The Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced Kwara State teachers recruitment 2025/2026. The exercise will recruit 1,800 new teachers to work in senior secondary schools in the state.

The state Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has approved TESCOM to hire 1,800 teachers, 100 non-teaching staff, and 200 school security guards to help make schools in the state safer and well staffed.
The teaching jobs are for senior secondary schools all over Kwara State, especially in rural areas where there are not enough teachers.

Kwara State teachers recruitment portal is expected to open around February 2025 since TESCOM has approved.
This recruitment will give majorly consider teachers of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects.

Kwara State Teachers Recruitment Requirements 2025/2026
If you want to apply for this job, you must meet the following requirements:
- Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed), BSc. Ed, B.A. Ed, BSc plus PGDE or NCE, or in the subject you want to teach.
- Be a HND holder in a relevant subject with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) can also apply.
- A minimum qualification of 5 O’Level credit passes, including Mathematics and English, in no more than two sittings.
- Must have teaching qualifications, like registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
- Having computer skills will be an added advantage.
- You must not be older than 35 years as of January 31, 2025.
- You must provide your National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.
- Applicant must be ready to work in any part of the state, including rural areas.
- A government hospital must confirm that you are medically fit to work.
- Must have a behaviour expected of a teacher.
How to Apply for Kwara State Teachers Recruitment 2025

- Go to the application portal at https://tescom.kw.gov.ng.
- Fill out the form and upload the following your recent passport photograph, a valid ID card (National ID, Driver’s License, International Passport, or Voter’s Card), academic certificates, and Certificate of origin from your local government.
- After completing the form online, print your acknowledgement slip. You will need it for all stages of the recruitment process.
It’s that simple, but make sure you have strong Internet connection. Applicants will take a Computer-Based Test (CBT). If you do not meet the requirements, you will not be allowed to write the test.
After the CBT, those who pass will be invited for an oral interview, document screening, and a practical teaching test (peer teaching). All applicants will also be made to take a drug test (mandatory). If you fail the test, you will be disqualified.
Only successful candidates will be informed through SMS at each stage of the process.
