Abia State Teachers Recruitment 2025
Application is taking place on www.mobse-abiastategov.ng online portal. The recruitment is being done under the leadership of the Governor, Dr. Alex Otti to help fill vacant teaching positions.
You can apply to teach as an art or science subject teacher. Yes, both subjects are eligible to apply.
However, you must have the requirements to be eligible. Let’s go through the requirements because if you don’t have them, you will be disqualified.
Abia State Teachers Recruitment Requirements 2025
Before you apply, you need to make sure you have the following requirements:
- Applicant can either be a native of Abia State or someone who lives in Abia State.
- Must be under 45 years old when you apply.
- Have at least one of the following: NCE (National Certificate in Education), B.Ed (Bachelor of Education), B.Sc Ed (Bachelor of Science in Education), HND (Higher National Diploma), B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) + NCE, PGDE, PGTED, or PDE (Postgraduate Diploma in Education)
- Registration with Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is an advantage.
- If you have only the NCE, you can only be assigned to teach in primary schools.
- You must also be willing to teach anywhere in Abia State, even in remote areas like villages or places near the river.
- Those who have a disability or a medical condition are still welcome to apply.
How to Apply for Abia State Teachers Recruitment 2025
The application process is simple and free of charge. Here’s how you can apply:
Go to the official recruitment portal at www.mobse-abiastategov.ng. You can apply using a phone or a computer, as long as you have internet access.
On the website, click on “Start Application” to begin filling out your details.
You will need to choose only one subject that you are qualified to teach. Make sure this is the subject you have expertise in. If you apply for more than one subject, your application will be disqualified.
In the application, you will need to enter your personal information, including your name, contact details, and qualifications.
You will be asked to upload your academic or professional certificates, NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate (if any), Certificate from your Local Government of Origin, First School Leaving Certificate (FLSC), Birth Certificate or Age Declaration and National ID Card or NIN Number (if you have one).
If you are selected, you will receive a message (SMS or email) inviting you for a test. Only those who pass the test will be invited for an oral interview and a micro-teaching practice to show that you can teach.
